Applications Engineer - (Portland, ME)

Job details: This job mandates the employee to be responsible for field applications, system design, and customer product development/ enhancement and provide sales, marketing and design direction in support of growth initiatives. This position is responsible for driving the strategic growth segments of the business through innovative product development and exploring adjacent market opportunities. Must effectively interface with all departments and all levels of the business. Manage large OEM customers including communication, pricing, quality reports, engineering support and market pricing. Conducts market research through various methods including trade associations and internet research to better understand the needs of existing and adjacent markets. Applies scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcome and consequence of design alternatives. Interprets and validates test results for accuracy and precision.
