Children---s Activity Leader (CAL)/ Out of School Time Youth Leader - (Irvine, CA)

Position details This position is partially on call and does not have a set schedule or guaranteed hours for CAL hours. Shift times are between 8:30am-8:00pm, M-F and some Saturdays. FRC positions are funded through public grants and are often coordinated with other community partners. Continued funding for these grants positions are based on Human Options’ and our partner’s expertise to secure additional funding at the end of each designated grant contract term. Summary:The Children’s Activity Leader (CAL)/ Out of School Time (OST) Youth Leader plans and uses a structured age appropriate curriculum to assist children in building social, emotional, fine motor, gross motor, cognitive and language skills as well as tools specifically relevant to the population such as safety planning. This position mandates a high-level of self-awareness, interpersonal communication, organization, and flexibility.
