Critical responsibilities You will Develop research objectives and scope to understand and solve environmental degradation of materials. Execute experimental test programs including characterization of materials and effectively communicate results through written and spoken communication. Be involved with developing material susceptibility maps of materials under various environments and loading conditions. Perform research for the understanding of material property and environmental interactions. Develop structure-processing-property-environment relationships on a broad range of materials. Participate on multidiscipline team to develop a new fuel cladding system for light water nuclear reactors. Develop and execute testing in a broad spectrum of environments and loading conditions. Operate various lab equipment such as potentiostats, data acquisition systems, active load test frames and autoclaves for testing in high temperature water environments.
