Senior Analytical Chemist - (Duffield, VA)

The Senior Analytical Chemist takes a senior role in the support of research, development, and manufacturing activities mainly in a R&D environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing. The individual has knowledge in a specialty normally associated with an advanced degree and/or advanced industrial background. These support services include developing new methodologies for analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished polymeric foam products using instrumental, physical and wet chemistry techniques; documenting laboratory work in compliance with regulations; preparing and executing method validation protocols; and preparation of draft documents and technical reports. 60% - 80% of activities will be project assignments Participate on and lead interdisciplinary teams providing guidance on material modifications, analytical and process feedback techniques. Develop and validate methodologies. Design experiments and investigations.
