The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Contracting team leader and a warranted contracting officer; to provide business advice and perform all pre-award and post-award functions for a wide variety of complex and/or specialized acquisitions, using a wide spectrum of contracting methods and types. Responsibilities Assigns and reviews subordinates work based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the background, training, and abilities of staff are utilized to meet organization and customer needs. Serves as a business advisor providing advice and guidance, ensuring all business aspects of the acquisition are considered, including risk and incentivization. Plans, develops and establishes the acquisition strategy for the overall program, functions as the lead negotiator throughout the process.
