Air Reserve Technicians are full time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.Responsibilities Manages the aircrew certification program. Analyzes missions and directives from higher headquarters, accident reports, combat readiness reports, flight evaluations, etc Administers standardization/evaluation flight evaluations May serve as mission CC when assigned acft are participating in ops during exercises, or tanker task force ops, contingencies, joint airborne training, unilateral tactical training, and other airlift/bomber ops specified in implementing directive
