Assistant Librarian - (Denton, TX)

Position description/Basic Function: Reporting to the Special Collections Head of Outreach, the Special Collections Public Services Librarian will actively coordinate reference and reading room services for special collections patrons. This position will oversee administration of reading room management software (Aeon) to ensure that materials requests are delivered appropriately, and will be responsible for staffing the reading room reference desk and overseeing staff working on the reference desk. As the primary liaison to on-site and remote users, the Special Collections Public Services Librarian will respond to inquiries and fulfill all requests in a courteous and timely fashion. This position will respond to digitization on demand requests from patrons, and will work together with Digitization and Metadata staff in Special Collections to ensure requests are completed and delivered to patrons.
