Shear Operator - 2nd Shift - (Chattanooga, TN)

Division: Columbus McKinnon Corporation Location: Greenwood Facility Role Summary: The purpose of this position is to insure proper grade and diameter material is pulled from inventory and distributed to the shears and band saws based on details contained on work orders. In addition this position will also assist in maintaining an accurate raw material inventory. Will set up and operate manual shear, automatic shear and band saws. Key Accountabilities: Using an overhead crane to unload incoming steel and locate as needed. Set-up and operate all equipment in the shear area used to cut material to length. Perform and document all quality checks and shear logs for all orders. Change or replace shear dies, saw blades and cutting tools as required to insure cut end of acceptable quality. Assure all cut material is properly labeled before removing from the shears.
