Food Production Manager - (Redwood City, CA)

SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking an experienced Production Manager for a fast-paced food manufacturing client in Redwood City, CA to oversee production and/or packaging operations. The perfect applicant will have background in Continuous improvement. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plant responsibility providing the overall leadership and direction on daily production, inventory and distribution. Develop and drive production schedule based on retail and wholesale demand. Hire, train and develop departmental personnel by assessing performance, setting goals, providing coaching and counseling. Develop and manage production budget and oversee food and labor cost management across all production departments. Forecast, track and manage staffing, operational and production needs with respect to budget. Review and influence monthly P&L. Manage the sourcing of high quality ingredients, vendor management and ensure product quality and consistency through oversight and testing protocols.
