Associate Inventory Control Buyer - (Madison, VA)

Position description: The Associate IC Buyer supports the Senior IC Buyer assisting in the forecasting by planning item sales and purchasing and managing product inventory for all business channels (retail, catalog and web retail). This position reports to the Senior Control Buyer for Viva Terra & Wind & Weather. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous retail purchasing background looking to join a well regarded, expanding multichannel retailer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Plan item sales, purchase and manage inventory for selected categories of merchandise for all channels, with a special emphasis on campaign and key products. Use the Forecast 21 system for development of forecasts, evaluation of inventory position, and assessment of any required actions. Place orders and reorders with vendors to insure timely delivery of merchandise, paying special attention to new suppliers.
