Transmission Diagnostic & Safety Controls Engineer - (Auburn Hills, MI)

DUTIES: Specifying, developing, and ensuring the delivery of transmission diagnostics and safety controls. Designing, validating, and integrating transmission monitoring software including the following: Support development of functional safety work products including Item Definition, Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment, Functional Safety Concept, Technical Safety Concept, and Verification and Validation for conventional and hybrid transmission technologies; create and implement physics model based controls designs; lead software issue triage for vehicle / transmission system functional and diagnostic issues, identify/ verify issue fixes and systemic preventive measures; support change control processes to ensure quality products and follow issue management processes; create AECDs for corporate transmissions; create qualifications for implementing these algorithms into transmission software; perform verification and validation of these algorithms using Hardware-in-the-Loop and in the vehicle; establish and
