Advanced Powertrain Controls Engineer - (Auburn Hills, MI)
DUTIES: Provide strategic and technical leadership in the area of developing powertrain control solutions: Controls Systems and Operating strategy; Gas exchange processes (valving control, boosting systems, EGR, charge motion devices, etc.); Fuel systems (port and direct injection systems); Combustion processes (spark ignition, compression ignition, HCCI); Utilization of sensors in feedback and feedforward control strategies; Integrated powertrain control (torque characterization, engine/transmission interactions, powertrain optimization strategies); Aux load management and optimization; Thermal characterization and thermal management; Fuel economy and performance optimization. QUALIFICATIONS (candidates with any suitable equivalent combination of education, training, or background are acceptable): Ph.D. in controls systems engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering required.
