Advanced Practice Provider II - (Np/PA) -Hospitalist Medicine - (Chapel Hill, NC)

The Division of Hospital Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our overnight hospitalist team. This APP will care for patients independently on medicine inpatient units including the General Medicine Units, the Medical Progressive Care Unit, and Oncology Units. This individual will rotate with 2 other APPs and will work weekdays, weekends and holidays. The individual should be an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This is a 0.75 FTE position which means the individual will average 30 hours/week. Shifts are scheduled on a quarterly basis so hours are not distributed evenly ever week. A) Coverage of all issues that come up overnight for existing hospitalist and oncology team patients B) Documentation related to history and physicals, and discharge summaries as needed C) Leading rapid responses on appropriate patients D) Diagnostic, testing
