Registered Dietitian - Homecare/Infusion Status: Casual/Per Diem Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others. Takes and evaluates all new referrals for insurance qualification criteria. Coordinates with Reimbursement for CMN qualifications. Develops and updates the plan of care based on assessment of the patient's nutritional needs, physician's orders and assessment of the capability of the patient/caregiver to understand the patient's nutritional goals. Evaluates TPN patients using reimbursement guidelines to ensure payment of services. Performs all equipment teaches prior to patient's hospital discharge date. Instructs patients as needed using appropriate teaching materials for diet instructions, with no issues reported. Adapts instruction to meet patient's needs i.e. education level or cultural diversity. Accurately calculates and recommends enteral and parenteral nutrition.
