Hours: Part time Weekends Working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) can be a very rewarding job. You will assist our customers, persons with developmental disabilities, with daily living activities at their home and/or in the community. However, it isnt always an easy job. The responsibilities for a Direct Support Professional range from light housekeeping to preparing meals to personal grooming/hygiene or taking the customer on errands. This position also works with our customer on achieving agreed-upon goals. What are the main responsibilities for a Direct Support Professional? A DSP provides quality care, direction, guidance, and help to customers with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, planning menus, dressing, grooming, taking medication and/or administering treatments, and housework.
