Maintenance Mechanic General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Plant Operations manager, the Mechanic performs maintenance work necessary to move, install, repair or erect all types of hospital equipment.Works in accordance with prints, sketches, manual or instructions interpreting mechanical qualifications and calculating necessary dimensions.Follows necessary safety precautions such as lockout, tag-out.Critical responsibilities: -Performs preventative or corrective maintenance services as scheduled.-Change and repair all pumps, motors and air handling as scheduled.-Set up and operate drill press, grinder and other metal working tools to make and repair parts as scheduled.-Performs electrical equipment as requested.-Performs plumbing repairs, moves and installations as requested.FormalEducation:-High-school diploma or GED required.
