M&A Associate - (Redwood City, CA)

This highly regarded general practice firm is currently seeking a mid-level Associate with M&A background to support the offices strategic growth plan. The perfect candidate will have in-depth background drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and other transaction documents; overseeing due diligence investigations of acquisition targets; preparing acquisition-related proxy statements; and organizing closings of complex M&A transactions. Candidates should also be familiar with the application of the federal securities laws to M&A transactions and with Delaware jurisprudence relating to directors responsibilities in the M&A area. The individual in this position must be comfortable working on and interacting with large deal teams on complex transactions. It is also important that the individual be prepared to devote substantial time to continue developing their transactional M&A skills and ability and to training junior M&A associates.
