Job details The insurance verification specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, to ensure necessary procedures are covered by an individual’s provider. They are responsible for entering data in an accurate manner, as it is their job to update patient benefit details in the organization’s insurance system and verify that existing info is accurate. This position necessitates professionals to spend extensive amounts of time on the phone with insurance companies. In addition, the insurance verifier will also work with patients to help them better understand their insurance coverage. They may also set up payment plans for in office services.
