Associate Research Scientist - (Meriden, CT)

Mirion Technologies is hiring an associate physicist to work within the physics group, as part of the spectroscopy division, located in Meriden, CT. The physics department supports both the development of new products, improvement of current products as well as assisting in the manufacture, testing and qualification of production devices and systems. You will be working with a small group of physicists providing ability in a broad spectrum of technologies, measuring alpha, beta and gamma spectroscopy. We are looking for someone who is meticulous with info with an insatiable curiosity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Support for customer orders, preparing, analyzing and reviewing measurement data from gamma spectroscopy systems. Perform sustaining functions such maintaining and QA testing of laboratory equipment Support for new product development. Develop knowledge of SyD products and technologies. Testing and characterization of HPGe and NaI detectors.
