Position description Residential Field Appraiser – (Solid benefits and fitness facility) Sarasota County Property Appraiser Are you ambitious with a strong commitment to community? Looking for new energy in yourself and in an agency? We have the challenge you’re looking for. A full time position that involves moderately complex work in gathering data for appraisal analysis and preparation to determine values for tax roll and VAB. Duties include but are not limited to: Inspecting of property, determining characteristics, reviewing and verifying permits, measuring/sketching residential properties, establishing quality grades and effective age, and communicating with taxpayers to explain valuations. Knowledge & skills: · Knowledge of construction materials and/or property inspections background · Appraisal knowledge to include understanding of quality grades and effective age · Must be computer literate in use of Excel and Ms word
