Applicants should be prepared to teach the introductory course in American politics as well as upper-division courses on Congress & the Presidency and Campaigns & Elections. Applicants should have ability in American institutions, American public policy, and/or American constitutional law. 2nd subfield training in political philosophy will be especially welcome, but any 2nd subfield might work. Additionally, ability to contribute to a sophomore-level research design class, a senior-level capstone class, or both, depending on interest and ability, will be expected. The teaching load is 6 courses (typically 5 preparations) per year. A Ph.D.
