Postdoctoral Research Scientist-Fixed Duration Employment - (Greenfield, IN)
Responsibilities: The Post Doctoral Scientist is responsible for conducting basic and applied research as an individual contributor at Elanco Research Labs. The primary research project will involve investigation of the mechanisms of cell signaling in cellular and animal models of veterinary immunologic disease, including validation of potential therapeutic target genes. A strong foundation in molecular immunology and cellular biology techniques will be required to proactively search for solutions in this discovery driven team. The ability to independently conceptualize and execute experiments, coupled with a “can do” attitude, is essential. Key Objectives/Deliverables Establish and validate skin and immune cell models using cell lines and/or primary cells Design and validate gene silencing of multiple targets using CRISPR and/or RNAi in multiple canine skin and immune cell models Design and execute experiments to explore kinase signaling pathways in canine immune cells Participate in cross-functional
