REQUIRED BACKGROUND Florida State Paramedic Certificate ALTA, ACLS, BLS & PALS State of Florida “D” security officer certification/ will assist in obtaining Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification Basic Life Support -provider (CPR) certification Basic Trauma Life Support (Advanced) or prehospital trauma life support Valid driver’s license Note: Your resume must be included to complete your application KEY FUNCTIONS Promote and maintain a safe workplace atmosphere Comprehend and utilize medical standing orders Comprehend and apply medical administrative procedures Verbally convey patient status reports to the medical director or his designee Respond to medical emergencies with special equipment. Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with the emergency responders Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury, or magnitude of catastrophe, to establish emergency medical intervention procedures to be followed or the need for additional assistance
