Fitness Specialist The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Belzoni, Mississippi is seeking applicants for a Fitness Specialist to support its missions of academics, healthcare, and research. Position Summary: The Fitness Specialist provides professional fitness service to members, clients and guests of the center to appropriately meet the health and fitness needs of each individual. Education: A Bachelor's degree from a 4yr college or university in a health-related, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education major is required. Previous work background or an internship in the fitness industry is preferred. Certification: BLS is required within 90 days of hire date. You must attain a nationally recognized (NCCA) personal training certification within 3 mons of your hire date. Current NCCA accredited certification (i.e., ACSM CPT, ACSM HFS, NSCA CPT, NSCA CSCS, NASM CPT, ACE, etc.) is preferred.
