Research Associate - (Charlottesville, VA)

The Engel lab in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology Oncology at the University of Virginia is seeking a post-doctoral Research Associate to join the team focused on molecular determinants of leukemia pathogenesis and development of new agents to treat leukemia in children, adolescents and adults. The fellow will collaborate together with the Principle Investigator and colleagues to develop their scientific and communications skills further with the goal of securing extramural funding critical for the fellow's future success as an independent investigator. In the Engel lab, we focus on signal transduction pathways and transcriptional regulators that govern cell fate specification in normal and malignant hematopoiesis.
