Functional Area: OP - Operations Estimated Travel Percentage (%): No Travel Relocation Provided: No AIG PC Global Services, Inc Position summary: • Provides legal support, under the supervision of an attorney supporting the Claims function; • Analyzes and indexes Claims-related legal process for review by a supervising attorney and distribution to responsible handling units throughout the Claims organization; • Formulates and performs independent investigation, including oral and written contact with adverse counsel and court clerks when necessary, to determine basis for AIG being named in legal process; • Performs follow-up contacts to ensure acceptance of handling by Claims units receiving routed legal process; • Performs administrative tasks, such as imaging of hardcopy service of process, when requested; • Supports maintenance of matter management logs used as "law office" controls; • Assists supervising attorneys in the preparation of quarterly, annual and ad hoc management reports
