Job overview Primary Duties: Direct, coordinate and supervisor all cold end functions necessary for shift operations of continuous float glass manufacture.These include cutting, packing, shipping and warehousing.Understand basic operations on the Hot-end process. To actively lead the team to ensure that plant targets and objectives are met in all aspects of its business, while promoting and monitoring the process of continuous improvement. To provide a safe and healthy workplace atmosphere implementing improvement programs in order to eliminate any work related injuries. Ensure Safety and OSHA regulations are enforced and that Visual Workplace, T.P.M., and 5S standards are at the highest level. To achieve effective and efficient use of resources. Help train and identify training opportunities for all employees on shift (production operations, pattern changes, thickness changes, load balancing, cutting issues and safety & health topics).Provide feedback to area team leaders on operator training gaps.
