Purchasing Agent (Electrical) - (Livermore, CA)
Our client is the world leader in manufacturing of heavy transit vehicles. They have been in business for over 100 yrs, and are known as a great place to work! The Commodity Manager is responsible for the strategic purchasing of electrical components, including but not limited to fuses, switches, harnesses and cables. Through individual contributions, cross functional influencing, and technical knowledge, the Commodity Manager builds and executes a supply chain roadmap for a category of parts. Concurrently, the Commodity Manager has daily responsibility for purchasing their commodities directly. The Commodity Manager identifies and leads initiatives to reduce cost and increase service while ensuring product availability. Through demonstrated knowledge, the Commodity Manager will serve as an expert resource to the buyers, engineers, senior management, and peers. This role reports to the Material Procurement and Freight Manager. • *This position resides at our corporate headquarters in Livermore, CA.
