General Accounting Specialist - (Strongsville, OH)

At this time a General Accounting Specialist is needed to work within all aspects of our accounting department to ensure that tasks are accurately and efficiently being completed, including customer service, accounts payable, and general bookkeeping. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Role and Responsibilities: Generates and posts commission reports in Great Plains and ensures timely distribution of payments to entities. Creates invoices for any chargebacks that are due and send out. Posts non-goodwill journal entries. Posts goodwill journal entries and updates Goodwill Accounting Ledger in OAMS. Runs Markel contract report and sends remittance to Diversified. Cuts checks to Agents for prior invoice deductions. Creates correspondence regarding outstanding invoices for specific accounts. Sets up all new commissions ACH accounts as needed. Posts cancellation payments and charges between companies.
