General Purpose of the Position: Ensure that all purchased parts assigned to you will fully meet Nexteer expectations by developing a robust supply base capable of meeting cost, quality, launch, and delivery commitments. Primary responsibilities :Works in cooperation with other Nexteer functions to make the best supplier selection for Nexteer. :Negotiates contracts for prices and terms with outside suppliers. :Develops and maintains sourcing strategies in cooperation with other regions. :Follows market price trends and general business activities. :Manages supplier commercial issues. :Ensures compliance to GSM Policies and Procedures. :Establishes Annual Material Budget and performs monthly budget analysis. :Works with suppliers and Nexteer resources to identify, develop and implement material cost savings. Job responsibilities :Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering or Bachelor level degree with equivalent related skills :5 or more years of background in Supply Management, Logistics or Manufacturing
