USA - NC, Matthews - Director of Development The Director of Development (DOD) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of Greater Matthews Habitat for Humanity's fundraising endeavors. The DOD works closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising activities. The position involves broad responsibility for the design and successful execution of fundraising strategies including: the solicitation of new major individual donors, oversight of annual fund and corporate giving programs, identification and acquisition of grant funding, event organization and shared oversight of marketing communication efforts. S/he will be a development professional with proven experience in securing the support and engagement of individual donors, corporations, the Board and volunteers. S/he will also have proven track record in helping nonprofits assess, plan for, and then build and diversify their revenue streams.
