Visiting Assistant Professorship in Rhetoric and Composition - (Forest Grove, OR)

The Department of English at Pacific University, Oregon seeks a specialist in rhetoric and composition for a one-to-three-year renewable, full time Visiting Assistant Professorship. We seek applicants committed to teaching undergraduate writing and who have some experience creating writing-center services, writing curricula, and assessment. Course load is 3:2 with a service assignment, teaching introductory composition/rhetoric courses and a section of 1st-Year Seminar. Required: PhD prior to Fall 2019, and must have experience teaching 1st-year composition at the college level. U.S. work permit also required. Application review begins February 15, 2019, followed by Skype interviews. Applicants may be interviewed at the Conference on College Composition and Communication, or at the Modern Language Association meeting.
