Job ID : 86483BR Location : US - Oregon - Eugene : Job details Currently enrolled MECOP student/engineering internship program, the student will perform work under the supervision of engineering staff with guidance from an assigned mentor. The internship is 6 mnth duration. The successful applicant will be working with an integrated team of Optical, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers to progress a project through the steps of New Product Introduction (NPI). The Mechanical Engineering intern will have the following duties: Designing component testing protocols, constructing test fixture, conducting, monitoring and reporting on results. Design of and building parts needed to support rapid prototyping needed by other teammates. Assembly or disassembly of prototypes. Participating on the hardware engineering design team - defining tasks, estimating time to completion, and completion criteria in Jira.
