Director of Information Systems - (Galax, VA)

Requirements: Education and Background: Bachelor of Science in Details Systems or related position required; Master's preferred. 5yrs of relevant details systems background, preferably in a hospital environment. Leadership skills/background and project organizational skills required. Responsibilities: Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Establishes and maintains contacts with vendors and outside consultants to have them provide the best possible support to hospital. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development and timekeeping. Provides training for IS staff on latest technology so they can deliver the best possible customer support to hospital users.
