Claims Coding Specialist - (Homewood, AL)

We are currently searching for a Claims Coding Specialist in our Birmingham, Alabama office. The Claims Codiing Specialist is responsible for accurately and timely coding of Med-Pays, Claims, Pre-Suit, and Suits with an indemnity payment, or closed file. The position identifies the proper CPT, ICD-10_CM codes to use by researching all details in the file notes and medical records. The Claims Coding Specialist works closely with the Claims Specialist, Operations, AAPC, and MPL, as required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. The job necessitates completion of a coding program, as well as a Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist designation.
