Volunteer Coordinator - (Harvard, IL)

POSITION DETAILS This position assists the Director of Support Services in training, supervision and retention of volunteers at the critical access hospitals and at House Of Mercy. The volunteer coordinator works cooperatively to accomplish the following, based upon each locations services and needs: promotes, schedules, and maintains emergency alert system installations; helps organize and oversee the volunteer schedule related to the gift shop/gift cart, info desk, switchboard, sewing/knitting groups, oncology services; organizes and promotes fund-raising events to support the Mercy mission/vision; conducts orientation for volunteers; attends vendor/merchandising fairs and purchases items for sale, staying within budgetary guidelines; performs other duties as assigned. (For House of Mercy : Works cooperatively with community resources which may offer assistance to residents. Oversees weekend operations and assists in case management of residents. Required to work weekends. Interviews and admits residents.
