Group Leader: Geoinformatics Engineering and Scalable Computing Group - (Oak Ridge, TN)

Requisition Id 503 Purpose The function of this position is to provide R and D and programmatic leadership for the Geoinformatics Engineering and Scalable Computing Group of the National Security Emerging Technologies Division. This group pursues research and development in the areas of developing and deploying GIS related solutions on big data architectures for specific applications across human dynamics, geographic data science, geospatial intelligence, critical infrastructure, and national security domains. Major Duties/Responsibilities The group leader will provide the vision and supervision of the team of individual researchers to define and align its activities with the division's science agenda. A key function is to establish and conduct research within the field of geographic info science, with special emphasis on scalable geoinformatics architecture that is directly applicable to current national security, human dynamics, and other geospatial research issues.
