Outreach Service Technician - Laboratory Services (Catholic Health System): Principal role is specimen collection procedures in a Laboratory Patient Service Center, client's home, nursing homes including, but not limited to, venipuncture and capillary draws. REPORTS TO: Outreach Manager SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (MIN): EDUCATION: High-school certificate or GED. Phlebotomy certificate. Possess valid NYS Driver's License, and have use of a vehicle. BACKGROUND: Successful completion of Clinical Phlebotomy rotation and/or 6 (6) months background in phlebotomy which includes microcollection and butterfly collection on both geriatric and neonate/pediatric patients preferred. Proof of certification required if background is less than 6 (6) months. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERTISE: Excellent oral and written correspondence abilities. Customer focused. Consistently demonstrate a confident and professional manner to coworkers and public.
