Mechanic - (Altoona, PA)

Mechanic Blair Senior Services, Inc., the Area Agency on Aging for Blair County and a non-profit organization, is seeking candidates to fill a full time Mechanic position at our transportation garage located in Hollidaysburg. Duties include preventative maintenance, diagnostic work, inventory control, performing state inspections and general repair and service work on a fleet of para-transit mini-buses. Tools and equipment provided. Candidates who are qualified must be 21yrs of age or older with a high-school certificate or equivalent with specialized knowledge of gasoline engines, a/c and related automotive mechanical responsibilities. Candidate must have, or be willing to obtain, a current PA State Inspection License. Advanced technical skills, strong diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills, valid Pennsylvania driver's license and a good driving history are also required. Candidates must be able to do heavy lifting, including the expertise to transport persons using mobility devices.
