Field Technician (Job Number:442054) Description: JOB SUMMARY: SAIC is currently looking for a Field Service Technician .to handle service inquiries and problems involving the installation, modification and repair of complex equipment and systems. The Field Service Technician may conduct on:site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order. Isolate equipment start:up malfunctions and take necessary corrective action. May make technical presentations and has a good knowledge of products. Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities. Duties may include installation and maintenance using detailed schematics of the network architecture; providing info of hardware operations; conducts testing of network systems. Maintains technical ability in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
