Purchasing Assistant - (Bozeman, MT)

Purchasing Assistant JOB SPECIFIC SUMMARY: With direct supervision, the Purchasing Assistant provides technical and administrative assistance to the purchasing director by assisting with purchasing documentations, spreadsheets and customer service. The Purchasing Assistant provides back up to the director when on breaks or while on vacation. This position interacts with different departments to complete projects. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: - Excellent people skills - Detail-oriented. - Maintaining relationships and follow-up with a total of eight locations and growing. - Must work well with others or alone, under minimal supervision - Must demonstrate professional appearance and friendly demeanor - Help as needed with the warehouse crew in loading and unloading. EDUCATION/ BACKGROUND: - An Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting or a related discipline is a plus. - Request material samples, packaging samples and pricing from various vendors.
