QA/QC Chemist - (Sulphur, LA)

Position details 13; Accountable for ensuring effective product quality assurance and control. :Takes leadership role in the assurance of safe laboratory operations. Assist with leading weekly safety communications. :Participates in all Customer, Quality, PSM or EHSS audits. :Establishes laboratory goals and performance expectations for lab personnel. :Responsible for providing training to QC technicians, including: developing and maintaining SOPs and test procedures, updating SOPs and tests in DMS/DCO, creating/maintaining log sheets in EQUILL database :Takes responsibility for the production, maintenance and accuracy of customer documentation including Specifications, AMLs and COAs. :Prepares work assignments to provide an orderly flow of data, keeping sample backlogs and turnaround times to a min. :Resolves quality issues including instrument reliability, accuracy, precision, turnaround time, capability and value.
