Position description Responsibilities as Nurse Educator: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse/Staff Educator to join our team You will be responsible for the education needs of the staff, interview clinical candidates and assist with pre:hire medical requirements. This position overs program development which includes assessment, training and evaluation of orientation/preceptor program. Responsibilities as Quality Assurance: :Chart audits :Support staff nurses with ongoing learning and yearly training requirements :Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior :EMR system education/training/ user access and troubleshooting :Knowledge of Nursing restorative program :Acts as back:up for DON :Heavily involved in preparation of yearly state survey Requirements: : Knowledge of LTC regulations and self reporting : Maryland Registered Nurse License/Wound Certification preferred : Min of five years LTC background :Strong issue solving and critical thinking skills
