Cost Accountant-Finance East - (Casper, WY)

The Finance Department provides accounting and reimbursement services and strategic financial details for all departments and associated product lines at Wyoming Medical Center. In addition, the Department constantly seeks to improve the performance of assets, protect the assets from unnecessary risk of loss, and provide an environment of sound internal control. The cost Accountant will perform basic cost accounting functions requiring strong knowledge of cost accounting methods, principles, and practices as they related to the Hospital and its product lines or departments. * The employee shall comply with all safety and health standards, and all rules, regulations, and orders which are applicable to the individual's own position, actions, and conduct. * Is responsible for development & maintenance of the cost accounting system. * Analyzes actual costs versus standard costs, prepares variance reports. * Interacts with departments to develop and maintain cost details for WMC.
