Maintenance Technician* - (Champaign, IL)

Job overview: This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Install and maintain plant machinery.* Diagnose problems with machinery, replace or repair parts, and test machinery for effectiveness.* Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.* Perform a variety of plumbing and other maintenance depending on plant needs.* Detect faulty operations, defective material and report this to the necessary supervisor.* Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.* Various electrical, welding and piping duties.* During slow seasons, will assist in other areas of the plant.* Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Education: High-school diploma or GED required.
