Job summary: *Support DDSW on Caterpillar's new Hadoop platform includes identifying, communicating and resolving data integration and consumption issues *Manage the ongoing data warehouse performance & service availability *Provide Hadoop Technical support to an existing 24x5 support team providing global support (located in Peoria and India) *Assist support team with resolving issues in a data ingestion solution developed on Hadoop platform *Drive Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management processes *Work with other application teams to investigate issues and root cause *Work with infrastructure teams to investigate issues and root cause *Work in a test driven development team.Background:Proven skill in designing and implementing robust highly available IT solutions Strong troubleshooting and analytic skillsExperience with incident management and problem management process (ITSM) disciplineProven background with introducing new technologies and ideas into development/support practices.
