Industrial Engineer Launch Team Lead - (Auburn Hills, MI)

The Industrial Engineering Launch Team Lead is responsible for performing work force planning & leveling per the New Program Template. The person in this role interacts with corporate planning, production management and union leadership on all matters relating to IE activities. Additional responsibilities: Lead a cross-functional team in the development of operator man assignments, working closely with TLs, Quality, and Engineering to ensure objectives are met at the station and plant levels. Build relationships with Engineering and Manufacturing to comprehend the new product requirements and sequence of build. Develop work assignments based on a predetermined time standard. Conduct studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization. Plans and oversees layout of equipment, office and production facilities. Perform cycle time and bottleneck analysis. Develop and improve work methods. Work with functional managers and operation managers to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.
