Receiving supervisor - (Port Washington, NY)

Well-established distributor of industrial supplies located in Port Washington, NY seeks an experienced Receiving Supervisor. Hours: Mon - Fri 7:00 am - 3:45 pm (must be able to work overtime and at least one Saturday per month) Your Main Focus Will Be: Ensure productivity, accuracy, timely completion of the loading/unloading operation Assign work of incoming freight (trailers) to forklift drivers Assist in the training and developing on new employees Assist in managing overtime & all other operational costs relative to day operations Supervise and delegate work to employees within department Job responsibilities: Min of 3-5 yrs of supervisory background in receiving and distribution required Basic familiarity with Excel and Microsoft word Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent leadership and communication expertise Solid time management expertise, expertise to prioritize and work under deadlines Salary commensurate with background plus benefits
