Benefit specialist - ipa operations - (Monterey Park, CA)

Overview: The Benefit Plan Specialist- IPA Operations is primarily responsible for setting up, testing, maintaining the benefit configurations for all Contracted Health Plans in AltaMed's Ezcap system. The position will handle all benefit related inquiries/call/queues and also create and maintain a benefit summary library for reference. Responsibilities: Understand, adhere to and implement company and department policies and procedures. Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work product. Download and Maintain Health Plan EOC's and Plan Summaries. Update Benefit Copays as required. Perform, maintain and update: Benefit set up, linking benefit tables/sets/rules Perform periodic testing to benefit configurations. Collaborate closely with the claims team to ensure that co-payments and deductibles are being applied correctly. Maintain/Answer Benefit Claims, Authorization and Customer Service Queues/Phones Research disputed benefit coverage issues as identified in Health Plan Benefit Documentation.
