Position summary The Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Public Health Alaska State Public Health Laboratory in Anchorage is recruiting for a Public Health Microbiologist III. This position will serve as the general laboratory manager for the State of Alaska Public Health Laboratory. This is a supervisory position with nine or more directly reporting personnel. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert and Supervisor for Microbiology and Immunology, as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) `88 (42 CFR 493). This position assures accuracy and quality of the services offered by the State Public Health Laboratory to the physicians, primary health care providers, laboratories, and hospitals throughout the State of Alaska.
